Meet UHCL’s 2012-2013 Student Bloggers

Welcome to the UHCL Student Blogs!  Here is your chance to get the inside scoop through the lives of 4 student bloggers.  Our bloggers are diverse in their fields of study, ages, and adventures.  See what it’s like to be a student at UHCL!

Brittany Cardenas - Brittany is an art and design undergraduate entering her 2nd semester at UHCL. Brittany also works at Houston Community College as a graphic designer. She’s a member of several organizations at UHCL and wants to make the most out of her university experience, graduate in 2014 and do something great with her life!

Christopher Rupley - Chris  is a communications major studying at the University of Houston-Clear Lake. He finds being a full-time student, father, and employee at the university very rewarding because he’s able to blog at home, which is extremely helpful. This job has given him invaluable experience in the field of communications. He’s proud to work for UHCL.

Erin Brush - Erin is a returning student coming back to school for her B.S. in Fitness & Human Performance, 6 years after graduating with her Associate’s degree in nursing. She is relatively new to Texas, having moved here at the conclusion of her husband’s eight years of service to the United States Marine Corps, and it was a major adjustment to come halfway across the country with no family or friends in the area. This time around is a whole new game as she balances school with being a full time mom to two young daughters and keeps up with new friends, family, hobbies and make big decisions about what the future has is store- at least what she can control of it!

Danita Spivey - Danita is a candidate for my master’s in instructional technology and has earned her bachelor’s in technical writing from the University of Houston Downtown. Her career as a writer has been a joy, as writing her my passion and she hopes to publish in the near future. But until then she’ll continue to extend her joy of writing as a student blogger.
